Copper Box, a meaning that derived from copper (being a great conductor of energy) and a box, (in this case a button box/accordion) transferring energy from the stage to the audience with their multi-instrumental talent, unique arrangements, songwriting, and unforgettable stage show that is never faked, has put Copper Box in the hearts of many….not to mention that they are just plain fun!!
With Copper Box, playing music is filled with sweat, tears and joy….and it shows every time they make music. This is not a cookie-cutter band! Copper Box is a one-of-a-kind band that delivers something special and is definitely worth a listen.
Multi-instrumentalist, Danny Jerabek and his wife, Michelle L (Thull) Jerabek, both started performing on stage with their respective family at an early age. At age 9, Danny was given a Hohner Accordion from his grandfather and taught himself how to play it, among several other instruments (cornet, keys, harmonica, clarinet, sousaphone…& the kitchen sink!) During his early 20’s, Danny was inspired by Steve (Esteban) Jordan, “the Jimi Hendrix of Tejano Accordion” he began to “rock out” and improvise –thinking a little more, “outside the box.”
