Cops and Bobbers

AGES: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 DATES: Wednesday, June 28, Thursday, July 27 and Wednesday, July 9 (this date is only for Special Needs Children) TIME: 9:30 – 12:00 noon – Meet at the Smith Center and we will take a bus to the location for fishing. LOCATION: TBD FEE: FREE includes lunch and a t-shirt MIN. 10 – MAX 20 YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR THIS PROGRAM AND YOU ARE ALLOWED TO REGISTER IN ONLY ONE OF THE COPS AND BOBBERS SESSIONS. JULY 9TH SESSION IS FOR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN. This program is designed to teach kids fishing. The goal of Cops & Bobbers is to get kids hooked on fishing rather than drugs and crime, and show cops in a positive friendly manner. This program is made possible through a GRANT by the COPS and KIDS FOUNDATION. The Cops and Kids Foundation was created to help bring law enforcement agencies together with the community they serve. We are here to provide the police department with the means to make the connection between officers and the people. These programs are a great way to break down barriers and teach police officers and citizens to trust and depend on each other. A HUGE thank you to the local businesses that have helped make this program FREE of charge to our children in the community.
