DESCRIPTION:Northwoods Veterans Post is holding Bowling Thunder at Les & Jim's.  This event will help raise funds for the new Veterans Post on 6th and Johnson Street in Merrill.  This is a Family Fun event with prizes\, raffles\, and a Super Hero Costume Contest.\n\n\n\nThe Northwoods Veterans Post will be a handicap accesible buklding for eight essential service organizations.  VFW 1638\, American Legion 46\, AmVets 2000\, DAV 29\, VFW Auxiliary\, Boy Scouts 503\, Girls scouts Merrill and Cub Scouts 503 are united in an effort to secure the vital roles of our veterans\, scouts and families.  This post  will be available for medical support\, meetings and training of all like organizations in the region.  It will also be home to a national registry for the military Chaplain Corps.
